Pershing is committed to developing students athletes who excel in the classroom and in the pool.  We value individuals who are dedicated to achieving excellence while demonstrating integrity, dedication, and sportsmanship.     

We have three all year athletics swim classes, two for our 7th and 8th grade UIL swim team and one where 6th graders develop their skills.  Swimming athletics may take the place of the required middle school PE class.

Students begin swimming the second week of school.  Our 7th and 8th graders swim season begins after the thanksgiving holiday and ends with the HISD Swimming Championships the second week of February.  After swim season we play Water Volleyball and Water Polo.

Students interested in joining The Pershing Aquatics Program must tryout to ensure they are safe to swim.
