Welcome to our 8th Grade Swim Class — the veteran athletes of the Water Panda family and the heart of our program’s competitive strength. These swimmers have spent years refining their skills, building endurance, and learning what it truly means to lead both in and out of the pool.
As you explore their profiles, you’ll see the faces of athletes who train with focus, discipline, and determination. They set the standard for excellence in our program, inspiring younger swimmers through their hard work, positive example, and unwavering team spirit.
This year marks the culmination of their middle-school swimming journey — a season filled with advanced training, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. Whether they are aiming for championship times or guiding their teammates toward improvement, these 8th graders represent the very best of what Pershing Aquatics stands for.

She enjoys swimming because it allows her to continually improve her times and see her hard work pay off. Every practice pushes her to grow, and she loves tracking her progress as she becomes a faster and more confident athlete.
Outside the pool, she is a big animal lover — at one point, she even had five dogs! Her kindness and upbeat personality make her a positive presence on the team.
This season, her goal is to drop three seconds from her swim times and give her best effort every time she hits the water.
She loves swimming because it feels refreshing after a long day at school, and the team environment always lifts her spirits. Surrounded by kind, supportive teammates who make her laugh, she finds both comfort and motivation in the WaterPandas community.
Outside the pool, she enjoys learning how to bake new things and loves playing volleyball with her friends. Her creativity and enthusiasm make her a vibrant presence both in and out of the water.
This season, her goals include dropping at least two seconds in both freestyle and breaststroke, as well as improving her diving technique to become an even stronger competitor.
She enjoys swimming because she loves attending meets with her friends and thrives on the excitement of competition. Her drive to push herself and race at her best makes her a strong presence both in the pool and on the deck.

Daniel is an accomplished swimmer who has already qualified for TAGS and made Senior Champs by the age of 13 — achievements that reflect his exceptional work ethic and dedication to competitive swimming.
This season, he is aiming to return to TAGS, qualify for Sectionals, and reach AAAA times as he continues pushing himself toward the highest levels of performance.
He enjoys swimming because he loves working on his technique and seeing consistent improvement. The process of gradually getting better keeps him motivated and committed to the sport.
Outside the water, he has a strong passion for the arts and has performed in professional theater. His creativity, stage presence, and confidence make him a unique and dynamic member of the WaterPandas.
This season, he is focused on perfecting his kicks and building more speed as he works toward becoming a stronger and more efficient swimmer.
He loves swimming because it makes him genuinely happy and is his favorite way to work out. He has been in the water his entire life, swimming purely for fun — until he discovered the Pershing swim team, which inspired him to take the sport more seriously and push himself as a competitive athlete.
Outside the pool, he is a huge cat lover and proudly cares for five of them, each one holding a special place in his heart. He also has a deep appreciation for music of all kinds, using it for motivation and to lift his mood throughout the day.
This season, his goals include dropping 1–2 seconds in his freestyle and mastering many different strokes while improving his times across the board.
He loves swimming because it challenges him to become a stronger and more disciplined athlete, and he values the sense of community that comes with being part of the WaterPandas. The encouragement and teamwork in the program keep him motivated to push his limits.
Outside the pool, he has a big passion for cooking and enjoys experimenting with new recipes. He is also multilingual and speaks Spanish, bringing creativity and cultural insight to everything he does.
His goal this season is to bring his 50 freestyle time down to 30 seconds by focusing on speed, efficiency, and explosive power off the walls.
He enjoys being part of the WaterPandas because it gives him the chance to socialize, have fun with peers, and channel his high energy into something productive and challenging. His lively personality brings excitement to the deck and keeps the team atmosphere upbeat.
Outside the pool, he loves playing the guitar and expressing himself through music. His enthusiasm and big personality shine in everything he does, whether he’s swimming, performing, or making his teammates laugh.
This season, he is determined to improve his butterfly speed — aiming to chase down the fastest times on the team through dedication, power, and his trademark competitive spirit.
He enjoys swimming because it allows him to help the team succeed while also giving him the chance to socialize with teammates. He loves the fun, challenge, and excitement of competing, and always brings enthusiasm to the water.
Outside the pool, he plays the piano and can solve a Rubik’s cube — a skill he proudly accomplishes in under three days. His sense of humor and unique talents make him a memorable and well-liked member of the team.
This season, his goals are to swim a sub-56 100 freestyle or drop a full second in the 50 breaststroke as he continues pushing his competitive limits.
He enjoys swimming simply because it’s fun, and he brings a lighthearted but determined attitude to every practice. The excitement of improving and being part of the WaterPandas keeps him engaged and motivated.
Outside the pool, he enjoys playing chess and programming, combining creativity with problem-solving and strategic thinking. His analytical mindset and curiosity help him excel in both academics and athletics.
This season, his goal is to reach a 35-second 50 freestyle, pushing himself to become faster and more efficient with each race.
