Swim Parents,

This message is for those coming back next year or beginning their journey with Pershing Aquatics.  It covers changes to the website and items that must be completed in preparation for next year.

Pershing Aquatics Store: 

I have set up a team store through Swim Outlet.  Any purchase made through Swim Outlet gives the team 10% of the total cost.  I have listed several items in the store, however, any item purchased after following the link on our Aquatics page www.waterpandas.swimtopia.com will help support our aquatics program. This includes clothing, swim gear, and pool toys.  Every purchase counts.

Swimmers Profiles:

I have added a swimmer profiles for next years 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.  The profiles can be found under the (Team) tab on our website.  After clicking the Team tab select the grade.  Members are listed alphabetically.  These profiles are hidden from the public.  You have to log in to see this information.  

One of the challenges we face as a team of 90 athletes is some members only see each other at swim meets.  Player profiles is one way for the kids to get to know others on the team who are not in their class.  Next year we will also have a get together each six weeks after school for the kids to mix.

Attached is a form for the kids to fill in that will be attached to their Swimmers Bio.  Please, supervise their work.  I will be attaching this to their bio on the website.  I will also be attaching a photograph taken at the Team Photo Day on June 1st from 4:00 - 5:30.  

Required Forms:

I have added the required forms for next year to the Pershing Aquatics Website.  The Insurance Waiver Form is out of date so I will need to request that from you at a latter date.  Otherwise, please, submit all of these forms, as soon as, possible so I can begin working on them.  With the amount of swimmers we have this is a big task.  If you will be getting your physical in the summer you can bring that the week before school starts.  No athlete will be allowed to swim unless all paperwork is submitted. I will be submitting all physicals that I have by Jun 11th to HISD on Jun 14th.  I will submit a supplemental batch Aug 20th for students getting physicals over the summer.  Any students who do no have all paperwork submitted by Aug 20th will be placed in Regular PE until their paperwork is complete.

FUN Meet: 

Just a reminder that the fun meet will be held Wednesday, May 26th from 4:00 - 6:00 in the Pershing Natatorium with a party in the courtyard from 6:00 - 7:00.  The meet is all relays and should be a lot of fun.  The teams have already been set and are looking forward to the meet.  For the party students will have pizza, Gatorade, water, and cookies.  Please, make sure to pick up your child by 7:00 PM.  Parents are not allowed in the meet due to Covid precautions, however, parents are welcome to visit at the party after.
