Swim Parents,

I have some good news about our aquatics program at Pershing.  

We will be having two swim classes next year.  The classes will have 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students.  The space will be limited, so I will be taking swim times from students during Swim Gym.  I will fill the class based on times.  Please, make sure your athletes are ready to swim.  I will be using these most current times to assign students for next years class.

You do not need to do anything at this point regarding Swim Gym.  I will provide a list of students who qualify for the class to the counselors. 

I will hold back a few spots in the class for August tryouts.  If you don't make the class now you can train over the summer and try out again in early August.  I hate tying the class to times but it is the only fair way to do it.  If your athlete is not able to get into the class they can still be on the team.  If this happens, please, make sure they are swimming outside of Pershing MS.  Go to the WaterPandas website and look under References for Year Round and Swim Lessons.  This will be needed to get them up to speed.
