Swim Parents,

Welcome or welcome back to swimming with The Pershing Aquatics Program. I hope everyone had a great summer and I’m sure everyone is excited to start school shortly. I know I am.

Registration: Everyone must register for this year, even if you were in the program last year. After sending this email I will open registration.

URGENT: Failure to register will mean that you will not receive communication from me and may miss a deadline. I am unregistering everyone right now. I will no longer be able to communicate with you after this email, until you register. It should only take 5 – 10 minutes to register. Please, take the time to do it now.

Register My Athlete: You must have all paperwork including your physical submitted to www.registermyathlete.com by Aug 22^nd. Understand that the trainers may not clear your athlete by Aug 22^nd. That is ok. I just need to see ALL paperworkhas been submitted by Aug 22^nd. Failure to submit this paperwork to Register My Athlete by Aug 22^nd may result in removal from Swim Gym or Swimming Athletics Class.

HISD Sports Physical: You must have a physical dated no earlier than Jun 1, 2022. Any physical dated earlier than Jun 1, 2022 will not be accepted. The physical must cover the entire school year. We are required to have a current physical for swim class and we swim all year. Physicals must be the current 2020 version. Right click here to open the current online document or search "Houston ISD Sports Physical" in your web browser. Please fill out online to ensure it is easily read. When you register for the swim team you will see a sample physical form with notes to help you fill it out. If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected].

My Copy: After uploading your physical to Register My Athlete, make sure to email me a copy. Please keep your original in a safe location. The email copy must be sent to me by Aug 22^nd.

Dues: Dues are $150 for both the 6^th grade Swim Gym and the 7^th/8^th grade Swimming Athletics Class. The dues cover the following items for all 6^th, 7^th & 8^th graders:

• T-Shirt
• Hoodie
• Swim Cap
• 2 (5x7) individual photos and 1 (8x10) Aquatics Photo
• End of Year Celebration

If you need to make arrangements for the dues just contact me by Aug 22^nd. I can make arrangements or offer a scholarship. Every student will receive all swag.

T-Shirts & Hoodies: I am ordering T-shirts and Hoodies on Friday Aug 26^th. Make sure you have registered at www.waterpandas.com by then. I collect all athlete sizes for orders during the registration process.

Tryouts: If you did not qualify for Swimming Athletics Class, I have good news. Dr. Shetzer has agreed to offer not 1 but 4 swim classes this year. That means we will have more opportunities for swimmers. I will be holding tryouts after Panda Camp. Tryouts will be in the Pershing Natatorium from 3:00 – 6:00 PM on Aug 18
