Swim Parents,

Good evening!  I want to report on the swim meet last night.  WOW!!!!

So proud of the team.  Here is what I submitted for the announcements.

Congratulations to the Pershing Swim Team. 

The 7th/8^th grade girls defeated Pin Oak 389 to 157 

The 7th/8^th grade boys defeated Pin Oak 330 to 183. 

Total score Pershing 719 to Pin Oak 340. 

Max points were scored by Barbara Lohmann, Amber Ketterer, Emily Mahan, Evasofia Perez, Brooklyn Boudreaux, and Luis Lamadrid. 

43 Pershing Swimmers beat their best times. 

Best time in 50 Freestyle - Alexander Fefer 30.20 

Best time in 50 Backstroke - Gaby Borum 36.96 

Best time in 50 Breaststroke - Chris Qiu 34.56 

Best time in 50 Butterfly - Amber Ketterer 31.80 

Best time in 100 Freestyle - Emily Mahan 58.59 

Best time in 200 Freestyle - Emily Mahan 2:10.21 

Best time in 100 IM - Gaby Borum 1:21.21 

Most improved Olivia Trent dropped 5.62% and Chris Qiu dropped 12.24%

Beyond that I was really impressed with the professionalism of our team.

They looked sharp, swam fast, got to their events, supported each other, beat their personal best times, and seemed to have a great time.

Thank you for supporting the program, getting your athletes there on time and with their gear, and picking them up on time. 

It was nice seeing so many parents in attendance.

Next up is West Briar MS at Westside.  This is a 45 min drive.  I am requesting students be released at 3:30.
