Swim Parents,

It’s time for the fun meet!

I need you to reply to this email with your availability for the meet. I need your response by 4:00 Monday. I literally spend hours dividing all the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders into five equal teams. I can only do this if I know everyone who will be there and who won’t.

The teams will practice fun relays Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week in class. Please make sure they have there swim suits.

Each team will have a celebrity guest coach. I pull in former students for this. It’s good to see my former athletes. The coaches keep them organized and cheer them on.

4:00-5:00 your swimmers may stay with Coach Puertas. Just have them immediately report to the pool he will walk them to a holding room. Here swimmers can read, do homework, or just hang out with friends. They can store their bags in the room by the pool.

Alternatively, they can walk to Starbucks or another place near the school. This will be a parents decision. If you are not comfortable with this, know that I will have a safe place for your kid.

5:00 swimmers are back and changing 
5:15 Warmups. 
6:00 Meet Starts  
8:00 Meet concludes
8:00-8:30 Food in the courtyard (pizza, cake, cookies, Gatorade, & water)

This meet is really a lot of fun. I hope your athlete can make it. I know that some may not be able to and I truly regrets that. Unfortunately, this has been on the calendar all year and many have planned around it.
