Swim Parents,

Good morning :)

This year I'm handing over the reins to the swim socials to parent volunteers.  I am lucky to have so many great volunteers.  The two handling swim socials will be Jenny Rozelle and Olivia Miljanic.  Swim socials are relatively unstructured and designed as a time and space for the team to bond.  We are planning to have one a month this year.  If you aren't able to attend then hopefully you can attend the next social.  I am attaching a letter from Jenny.

Hi Pershing swim families, 

It's time for our first swim social to welcome new swimmers and let last year's group catch up with friends! We'd like to gather the group next Thursday, Sep. 19, from 4-6 p.m. at Evelyn's Park. We'll provide Gatorade, water and chips. If kids are hungry for more, they are welcome to bring money for Betsy's. 

Since the swim socials are meant to encourage the swimmers to get to know each other and build team spirit, we ask you to please remind your swimmers not to invite friends from outside the swim classes. 

We'll be planning more swim socials throughout the school year, so look for more details later. And if you'd like to help with the socials, please let us know!
