Boys 8th Grade
- 1st – 200 Freestyle – 2:01.37
- 2nd – 100 Freestyle – 57.64
One of the fastest Panda 200 Freestyles we’ve seen at the middle school level.
Maddy Melville – 8th Grade
Girls 8th Grade
- 1st – 50 Butterfly – 26.25
- 2nd – 200 Freestyle – 3:00.82
A huge sprint fly win and strong middle-distance swim that brought in key points.
Zoë Cheng – 8th Grade
Girls 8th Grade
- 3rd – 50 Freestyle – 31.10
- 1st – 100 Freestyle – 1:14.35
Clutch 100 Free victory that helped secure 2nd place overall for the girls.
Ramzy Abdallah – 7th Grade
Boys 7th Grade
- 1st – 200 Freestyle – 2:42.17
- Strong race in the 50 Breaststroke
Opened the meet with a big win and set the tone for the rest of the team.
Gavin Moore – 8th Grade
Boys 8th Grade
- 1st – 50 Backstroke – 33.09
- Key split on the boys 8th grade 200 Free Relay
Took the only individual boys’ win in backstroke and anchored important relay points.
7th Grade Girls Core
Stanger • Brown • Chavez • Zhu • Nguyen
Our 7th grade girls scored in event after event:
- Multiple finals in the 100 IM, 50 Free, 50 Fly, 50 Breast, and 50 Back
- Strong swims on both the 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays
This group quietly piled up points that made the difference on the girls’ side.
🤝 Relay Power
- Girls 8th Grade 200 Freestyle Relay – Kate Wyllie • Olivia Prouhet • Zoe Bradshaw • Zoë Cheng Finished 2nd with a time of 2:16.23, closing the gap in the team race.
- Boys 8th Grade 200 Freestyle Relay – Jacob Pham • Dean Wells • Alexander Mahan • Daniel Gu Took 2nd with 1:54.99, one of the fastest Panda relays of the season.
- Girls 7th Grade Relays – anchored by Emma Stanger, Eloise Brown, Laila Chavez, Jiaqi Zhu, Isabelle Nguyen Consistent relay swims that kept Pershing in the hunt every round.
📈 Big Time Drops
Several WaterPandas used this meet to crush their previous times:
- Noah Lazard – 50 Free drop to 32.56
- Zoe Bradshaw – 50 Back now at 39.63
- Olivia Prouhet – 50 Breast down to 39.76
- Dean Wells – 50 Breast down to 45.37
- Jacob Pham – 50 Breast down to 45.42
These improvements are a direct result of daily practice, better turns, and smarter race strategies.
